HLA Oldham

Oldham Heritage Libraries & Arts is an integrated team that combines Gallery Oldham, Oldham Libraries, Oldham Local Studies and Archives and Oldham Theatre Workshop. Their mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by connecting them to high-quality information and creative experiences.

The brief

Design and build of a new website combining the content and services from websites for Gallery Oldham, Oldham Libraries, Oldham Local Studies and Archives and Oldham Theatre Workshop.

The solution

Taking the lead on both front and back-end development, I worked closely with the lead designer, development team and project manager to ensure the build of the new HLA Oldham website fulfilled the brief. Leveraging the power of the WordPress Block Editor, we designed and built a set of custom blocks to extend the core block library. The events calendar is central to the new website, allowing visitors to search for both upcoming and historic events held at the venue, and book tickets.
